Homecoming 2009 kicks off today

Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Homecoming 2009: The Choice begins today. Students can look forward to a week filled with a variety of activities, from the traditional Bug Race to new additions like Glo, PBA’s first ever dance and paint party.

Calendar of Homecoming 2009 events:

Tuesday
11 a.m. – Alumni chapel led by Steve Browning, class of ’05
5 p.m. – Dinner on the Common Ground patio
6:30 p.m. – Harvest Fest in the Greene Complex parking lot

Wednesday
11 a.m. – Alumni chapel led by Steve Browning, class of ’05
3:30 p.m. – 27th Annual Great American Bug Race, Rinker Parking Lot
6 p.m. – Etiquette Dinner, Weyenberg Center
8 p.m. – Movie on the Green: “Eagle Eye,” Rinker Green (rain site: Weyenberg Center)

Thursday
11 a.m. – Alumni chapel led by Scott Whitaker, class of ’91
7 p.m. – Women’s Fine Arts Night, Helen K. Persson Recital Hall in Vera Lea Rinker Hall
8 p.m. – TNL Presents: The Anchor
8:30 p.m. – GLO, PBA’s first dance and paint party, Pembroke Green

Friday
5 p.m. – Spirit Dinner with Sailfish Jack and Jill, Fraser Dining Hall
7 p.m. – Alumni vs. student men and women’s basketball game, followed by the Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Rubin Arena at the Greene Complex
7 p.m. – Endurance Challenge, Rubin Arena at the Greene Complex

Saturday
8:30 a.m. – Sailfish men’s and women’s tennis shoot-out, Gaines Park
10 a.m. – Sailfish Fun Day At the Beach, Ocean Reef Park at Singer Island Beach
8 p.m. – Movie on the Green: “Paul Blart Mall Cop,” Rinker Green (rain site: Weyenberg Center)
