Beacon Sports: New fitness classes added at Greene Complex

Looking for an alternative to your boring workout? Palm Beach Atlantic University has added several exciting options to the group fitness class schedule.

New classes include Yoga, Total Body Force and Zumba. All programs are free to students.

Fall 2009 Schedule
Level Up! — Featuring a fusion of body conditioning principles and boot camp intensity. This class provides a full body workout.  Participants will train using cardiovascular, strength, agility and various other techniques.
Availability: Mondays  and Wednesdays, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Room: Meet in lobby

Core Crunch — Designed to target the midsection. This class focuses on the abdominals, obliques and lower back.
Availability: Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 – 6 p.m.
Room: Meet in lobby

Yoga — Known to relieve stress, yoga strengthens, stretches, aligns the body and increases flexibility using continuous non-stop flowing movements.
Availability: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Room: Group Conditioning Room

— A full mind and body experience program focusing on muscle strength and toning, balance, body alignment, stabilization and flexibility.
Availability: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m.
Room: Meet in lobby

Zumba — Combining high energy Latin and international music with easy-to-follow dance steps, participants dance away their worries.
Availability: Wednesdays, 3:30 – 4:20 p.m.
Room: Group Conditioning Room

Total Body Force — This class is designed to tone, define and condition muscles while increasing muscle endurance and raising your metabolic rate for rapid fat burning. It’s a fast way to get into shape.
Availability: Fridays, 4 – 5 p.m.
Room: Group Conditioning Room
